Lawrence Roach is a famous American fashion stylist. He is well-known for working with big stars like Zendaya, Céline Dion, and Anya Taylor-Joy. Law Roach was also a main judge on the TV show Legendary from 2020 to 2022. He also judges on RuPaul's Drag Race and Project Runway.

Law Roach's Amazing Career

Law Roach grew up in Chicago. He started his career there with his own clothing shop called Deliciously Vintage. Later, he moved to Los Angeles. That's where Zendaya became his first big client as a stylist.

Styling for the Stars

Law Roach has styled many famous people. For example, at the 2021 Met Gala, he styled 10 different celebrities. These included Alton Mason, Kehlani, and Hunter Schafer.

Some of his other well-known clients are Celine Dion, Tom Holland, Kerry Washington, Ariana Grande, and Megan Thee Stallion. In 2017, he worked with Celine Dion for Couture Week in Paris. He also became the first African-American stylist to be featured on The Hollywood Reporter's special issue about stylists and stars. Celine Dion and Zendaya joined him on the cover.

Judging on TV Shows

Law Roach has been a judge on several popular TV shows. He was a permanent judge on the HBO Max show Legendary. He judged alongside stars like Megan Thee Stallion and Keke Palmer.

In 2016, he became a judge for cycle 23 of America's Next Top Model. He judged with Ashley Graham, Rita Ora, and Drew Elliott. More recently, he joined Project Runway as a main judge for season 21. He also became a main judge on RuPaul's Drag Race starting with season 17.

Awards and Recognition

Law Roach has received important awards for his work. In 2021, he won the Gem Award for Jewelry Style. The next year, he received the first-ever stylist award for American Fashion. This award was given at the 2022 CFDA Awards in New York.

Taking a Break from Styling

In March 2023, Law Roach announced he was stepping back from styling. He shared on Instagram that the "politics" and "false stories" in the business were too much. However, he quickly made it clear that he would always work with Zendaya. He said, "She's my little sister and it's real love." He explained that he needed to take a break to focus on his mental and physical health. He also mentioned feeling overwhelmed and needing time to deal with personal sadness.
