Lawrence Pressman, born David Milton Pressman on July 10, 1939, is an American actor. He is famous for his roles in TV shows like Doogie Howser, M.D. and Ladies' Man. He also played a scientist in the 1971 movie The Hellstrom Chronicle.

Acting Career Highlights
Lawrence Pressman started his acting career on the TV show The Edge of Night. One of his first big movie roles was in Shaft in 1971. He also appeared in other movies such as Making It (1971), 9 to 5 (1980), and American Pie (1999).
Television Appearances
Pressman has been in many TV movies, including The Gathering and A Fighting Choice. He has also made guest appearances on popular TV series. These include Hawaii Five-O, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Dawson's Creek, and Law & Order. He also appeared in M*A*S*H, The West Wing, and NCIS. Fans of science fiction might remember him from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
In 1976, Pressman played Bill Denton in the miniseries Rich Man, Poor Man. He also appeared in the 1983 miniseries The Winds of War.
Stage Performances
Lawrence Pressman is also a talented stage actor. He won the Theatre World Award for his first show on Broadway. He starred in The Man in the Glass Booth, which was directed by Harold Pinter. He performed this play in both London's West End and on Broadway.
He also co-starred in the original Broadway show of Woody Allen's Play it Again, Sam. In 1968, he played Berowne in Love's Labour's Lost at the American Shakespeare Festival. Pressman has continued to perform in plays, including A Walk in the Woods in 1987 and Long Day's Journey Into Night in 1998. More recently, he starred in Casa Valentina in 2016.
Personal Life
Lawrence Pressman met actress Lanna Saunders while they were studying acting. They got married in 1973 and had one son named David. Lanna Saunders passed away in 2007. Her father was actor Nicholas Saunders, and her grandfather was actor Nicholas Soussanin.
