Laxå Municipality (Laxå kommun) is a special area in central Sweden. It is like a local government area. It is part of Örebro County. The main town and administrative center is Laxå.
In 1967, the town of Laxå joined with two nearby rural areas. One of these areas came from a different county. This means that today, Laxå Municipality is located in two historical parts of Sweden: Närke and Västergötland.

History and Nature
The history of this area goes back a long time. In the 12th century, a special religious building called the Ramundeboda convent was built here. It was about 4 kilometers west of the town of Laxå.
Part of the beautiful Tiveden National Park is also found within Laxå Municipality. This park is a great place to explore nature.
