Laxe (pronounced like LAH-shee) is a town in the northwest of Spain. It's located in the province of A Coruña, which is part of the autonomous community of Galicia. Laxe is also part of a local area called Bergantiños.
The town is situated in a calm area known as the Cabanas bay. This means that Laxe's wide, sandy beaches are protected from the strong winds that can blow in from the Atlantic Ocean.
The weather in Laxe changes a lot throughout the year. In winter, the average high temperature is around 10-12 degrees Celsius (50-54 degrees Fahrenheit). But in summer, especially in June and July, temperatures can reach 31-33 degrees Celsius (88-91 degrees Fahrenheit).
