Lea Sirk (born on September 1, 1989) is a talented singer from Slovenia. She is well-known for representing her country in the exciting Eurovision Song Contest in 2018.

About Lea Sirk

Her Early Life and Music Journey

Lea started learning music when she was just five years old in Koper, Slovenia. She loved playing the concert flute and even finished high school while studying it! Between 2001 and 2007, Lea took part in many music competitions both in Slovenia and other countries. She often won top prizes, showing how skilled she was.

Later, Lea went to the Conservatory of Music in Geneva. She played in different orchestras and attended special music workshops all over Europe. She finished her studies early and with great success, earning a Master of Arts degree in music performance.

Becoming a Star

While she was still studying, Lea also became known as a singer. In 2005, she won an award for being the most promising young singer at a big music competition in Cologne. She started performing at various music festivals and even tried out for EMA, which is the Slovenian show to pick their singer for the Eurovision Song Contest. She tried in 2009 and 2010.

Lea also appeared on a popular TV show called Znan obraz ima svoj glas (which means "Your Face Sounds Familiar"). On this show, she transformed into famous world performers. People loved watching her, especially when she became Salvador Sobral, who won the Eurovision Song Contest 2017.

Lea has also been a backing vocalist at Eurovision. She sang with Tinkara Kovač in 2014 when Eurovision was held in Copenhagen. Besides singing, Lea is also a studio musician and helps arrange music. She has performed on many big stages and recorded songs with lots of Slovenian musicians.

Lea is a busy mom to two girls, and she has built her solo singing career while taking care of her family. In 2018, she won EMA 2018 with her song "Hvala, ne!". This song, which she wrote with Tomy DeClerque, made her the representative for Slovenia at the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest.

More recently, in April 2023, Lea was chosen to sing the English version of "Interstellar Journey." This is the official theme song for the popular game Honkai: Star Rail!

Music She Has Released

Lea Sirk has released several albums and singles throughout her career. Her albums include Roža (released in 2014) and 2018 (released in 2018). She has also put out many singles, with her song "Hvala, ne!" being one of her most well-known.
