Leah Lewis was born on December 9, 1996. She is an American actress known for her exciting roles. You might know her as Georgia "George" Fan in the TV show Nancy Drew. She also played Ellie Chu in the Netflix movie The Half of It.

Leah is also a talented voice actress. She was the voice of Ember Lumen in the Pixar animated film Elemental.

Leah Lewis's Early Life

Leah Lewis was adopted from an orphanage in Shanghai, China. She was just eight months old when she came to live in Windermere, Florida. Later, her younger sister, Lydia, was also adopted from the same orphanage. Leah's parents, Frederick and Lorraine Lewis, are both real estate agents.

Leah found her love for performing at Crenshaw School in Orlando, Florida. She went to Thornebrooke Elementary School and Southwest Middle School in Orlando. During her teenage years, she often traveled between Los Angeles and Orlando for her acting career. When she was 17, she finished high school at Olympia High School in Orlando. At 20, she moved back to Los Angeles by herself to pursue acting full-time.

Leah Lewis's Acting Career

Leah started acting in commercials when she was very young. After her family moved to Los Angeles, she appeared in the 2012 Nickelodeon film, Fred 3: Camp Fred. She played a character named Spoon in the movie.

In 2013, Leah tried out for The Voice. She sang "Blown Away" by Carrie Underwood. Even though the judges didn't turn their chairs, it was still a great experience for her.

TV Show Roles

Leah appeared in several Disney shows in 2015 and 2016. These included Best Friends Whenever and Gamer's Guide to Pretty Much Everything. She also had a main role in the web series Guidance.

After high school, Leah got roles in popular TV shows like Station 19 and The Good Doctor. She also had a recurring role in Charmed. In 2019, she joined the main cast of Nancy Drew. She plays Georgia "George" Fan, a character based on the original Nancy Drew books.

Leah's first big movie role was in the 2020 Netflix film, The Half of It. She played the main character, Ellie Chu.

In 2023, she starred alongside Mamoudou Athie in the Pixar animated film Elemental. Leah voiced the main character, Ember Lumen, a fiery young woman. In 2024, she joined the cast of the Paramount animated film The Tiger's Apprentice, where she voiced the character Räv.
