Legends in Concert is a really fun live show! It features amazing performers who look and sound just like famous music stars. These artists sing classic songs while a live band and dancers join them on stage.
You can find "Legends in Concert" shows in many places. Some of the main spots include Las Vegas, Nevada, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Branson, Missouri, and Waikiki, Hawaii. They also have shows in Mashantucket, Connecticut, and Atlantic City, New Jersey. Performances happen all year long around the world and in these five main US locations.
"Legends in Concert" has even teamed up with Elvis Presley Enterprises. They help host some early rounds of the "Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest." This contest finds the best performers who can honor the King of Rock and Roll!

History of Legends in Concert
"Legends in Concert" started a long time ago in 1983. The very first show was in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Imperial Palace Hotel and Casino. A company called On Stage Entertainment, Inc. now owns and produces the show. In 2013, "Legends in Concert" celebrated its 30th birthday!
Where the Show Has Grown
Over the years, "Legends in Concert" has opened shows in many new places. You can now see it at The Legends in Concert Theater in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. It's also at Dick Clark's American Bandstand Theater in Branson, Missouri.
The show has even gone on the water! It performs on some Norwegian Cruise Lines ships, like the Norwegian Epic. Other locations include the Blue Chip Casino, Hotel and Spa in Michigan City, Indiana. You can also find it at Coushatta Casino in Kinder, LA.
In Hawaii, the show is at the Royal Hawaiian Center in Waikiki. Other spots are Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut. And don't forget Bally's Atlantic City in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Elvis Lives Tour
In 2013, "Legends in Concert" worked even more closely with Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc.. They created a special touring show called Elvis Lives. This show travels across the United States. Moving Locations in Las Vegas
The very first "Legends in Concert" show in Las Vegas moved homes a few times. It started at the Imperial Palace Hotel and Casino. On February 23, 2009, it moved to Harrah's Las Vegas. Then, in February 2013, the show moved again to The Flamingo Las Vegas.
The show in Surfside Beach, South Carolina, also moved. It had been there since 1995. On October 6, 2010, it moved to Broadway at the Beach in nearby Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
International Performances
"Legends in Concert" has also started trying out shows in other countries. As of 2016, they had touring performances overseas. However, they didn't have any permanent show locations outside the United States yet.
The First Team
The original cast and crew of "Legends in Concert" in 1983 were a talented group. John Stewart was the Producer Director. Nelson Foster was the Co-Director. Frederick Lord handled laser effects. The first performers included Jonathan Vanbrana as Elvis. Sherry Ray played Janis Joplin. George Trillinger was Buddy Holly. Many other great artists also helped start the show.
Awards and Recognition
"Legends in Concert" has won several awards over the years. These awards celebrate how great their shows are.
- In 2007, they won "Tribute Show of the Year" from the Myrtle Beach Herald.
- They were named "Celebrity Impersonation Show of The Year" in both 2004 and 2005. These awards also came from the 2004 Myrtle Beach Herald and 2005 Myrtle Beach Herald.
- From March 15 to 20, 2004, the week was called "Legends in Concert Week." This honored the theater's 10th anniversary.
- In 2009 and 2010, viewers of WMBF-TV voted them "Best Live Music Venue." This was for their show in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
- In 2011, they came in 3rd place for "Best Live Music Venue." This was also in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, as voted by WMBF-TV viewers.
