Lenora is a small place in Fillmore County, Minnesota. It is called an "unincorporated community." This means it's a group of homes and businesses that isn't officially a town or city. It doesn't have its own local government like a mayor or city council. Instead, it's usually managed by the county it's in.
History of Lenora
Lenora was first set up in 1855. People started living and building there around that time. A post office was opened in Lenora in 1856. This was important because it helped people send and receive letters and packages. The post office stayed open for many years. However, it closed down in 1905. This often happens when communities change or people move to bigger towns nearby.
In 1880, about 100 people lived in Lenora. This number came from the U.S. Decennial Census. The census counts how many people live in different places every ten years.
