Leonard Robinson is an American actor, comedian, writer, and performer. He is known for his roles in TV shows like Nick Cannon Presents: Wild 'n Out and Insecure.

Early Life and Education
Leonard Robinson was born in Cleveland, Ohio. He grew up in Danbury, Connecticut. He finished Danbury High School in 1994. While there, he was a state champion wrestler. Leonard found his love for acting early on, inspired by watching Sesame Street.
College Years
Robinson went to Howard University. He earned a business degree in Management Information Systems. It was at Howard that he took his first acting classes.
Career Highlights
After college, Leonard first worked as a tech consultant. Later, he moved to New York City to follow his dream of acting. He performed in theater and did stand-up comedy. In the mid-2000s, he moved to Los Angeles.
Television Debut
Leonard's first TV appearance was on MTV’s improv show, Wild ‘n Out. He was an original cast member for four seasons. He performed alongside famous comedians like Katt Williams.
Acting and Writing
Robinson has also acted in many plays across the country. He studied improv comedy at well-known theaters. He also took part in the NBC Stand-Up for Diversity program.
..... This video has been watched millions of times online. In 2019, he was chosen for the CBS Diversity Sketch Comedy Showcase. This was a special program for new writers. Today, Leonard is a main member of The Groundlings comedy group. He writes, directs, and performs there. He also performs stand-up comedy regularly at The World Famous Comedy Store. He has even performed his comedy in the U.K.
Role in Insecure
In 2018, Robinson joined the TV show Insecure. He played the character Taurean. He continued this role until the show's final season in 2021. Leonard had tried out for other roles on Insecure before being cast as Taurean. The show's creator, Prentice Penny, chose him directly for the part.
