Micah "Katt" Williams (born September 2, 1971) is an American stand-up comedian and actor. He is known for his roles in movies like Friday After Next, where he played Money Mike. He was also a regular guest on the show Wild 'n Out. Williams voiced characters in The Boondocks and Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore. He also appeared in the movie Norbit.

Early Life and Growing Up
Micah Williams was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on September 2, 1971. He grew up in Dayton, Ohio. His parents were Jehovah's Witnesses. He shared that he learned to read when he was three years old. He also learned to speak several languages, including French. As a child, he lived in Haiti for about a year and a half. This was part of religious trips with his family.
When he was 13, Williams decided to live on his own. He moved to Florida. He was homeless for a time, living in a park. He earned money by selling things on the street. He said he wanted to stay close to his faith.
Williams has mentioned that he joined the United States Marine Corps at age 16. He said he went to boot camp. He was later discharged when his age was found out. However, the Marine Corps has stated they have no record of him serving.
Comedy Career Highlights
Starting Stand-Up Comedy
Williams began his comedy journey in the Avondale area of Cincinnati. He practiced his comedy routines in clubs across the country. By 1999, he was a well-known comedian. He performed at famous places like The Improv and The Comedy Club. He also appeared on BET's ComicView.
Comedy Specials and Tours
In 2006, Williams starred in his first comedy special, Let a Playa Play. His first special on HBO was The ... Chronicles, Pt. 1 in 2006. In 2007, he helped write and starred in the comedy film Katt Williams: American Hustle. This movie was very popular. It helped him become a major comedian. In 2008, he released his second HBO special, It's ... .... Williams kept busy releasing comedy DVDs and touring. Billboard magazine named his 2008 comedy tour the best of the year.
After a break, Williams returned to stand-up in 2012. He had his third HBO special, Kattpacalypse. Later that year, he announced he would stop doing stand-up comedy. This was after an incident in Seattle. However, he changed his mind three days later.
In late 2013, Williams went on his Growth Spurt Tour. On August 16, 2014, he released a new HBO special. It was called Katt Williams: Priceless: Afterlife. This special was directed by Spike Lee.
In September 2015, Williams talked about his upcoming Conspiracy Theory Tour. He explained that the tour would discuss hidden information. He said it would cover topics that people don't usually talk about. He wanted to discuss things that make people rethink what they thought they knew.
In 2018, Williams released a new stand-up special on Netflix. It was called Great America. It was filmed in Jacksonville, Florida. In 2022, he released another Netflix special, World War III.
In January 2024, Williams was a guest on Shannon Sharpe's podcast, Club Shay Shay. His comments about the entertainment industry became very popular online.
On May 4, 2024, Katt Williams: Woke Foke was streamed live from Los Angeles. This was his thirteenth stand-up comedy special. It was his third for Netflix.

Williams started acting in 2002 on the show NYPD Blue. He is widely known for playing Money Mike in the movie Friday After Next (2002). He also had supporting roles in Norbit (2007) and First Sunday (2008).
In 2003, he appeared in the music video for Nick Cannon's song "...". He was a regular on Wild 'n Out on MTV for its first three seasons.
In 2007, Williams voiced a character named Slickback in The Boondocks. He also appeared as himself in the video game Grand Theft Auto IV. In the game, he performed parts of his comedy routines. He was in several episodes of My Wife and Kids as Bobby Shaw. He was the host of the Comedy Central Roast of Flavor Flav.

Personal Life
Katt Williams has ten children. Three of them are his biological children, and seven are adopted. Williams is a Christian. He often wears a cross during his shows to show his faith. He briefly joined the Nation of Islam when he lived in Oakland, California.
