Leonie Elliott was born in Brent, London in 1988. Her family moved from Jamaica to the UK in the 1960s. She started acting when she was eight years old.
Leonie studied at the Harris School of Speech and Drama. Later, she trained to be an actress at the Identity School of Acting in London. She also attended the Ellen Wilkinson School for Girls in Ealing.
