Les 100 tours de Centour facts for kids
Les 100 tours de Centour was a fun French language children's TV show. It was made in Quebec, Canada by Radio-Québec between 1971 and 1972. The show was about a good genie named Verbo. He had to catch another genie, Centour, who had escaped.
About Les 100 tours de Centour
The main goal of Les 100 tours de Centour was to help kids learn French. Verbo, the good genie, used magic in a special way. When he needed to do a trick, he would ask his magical item, "Memo," for a secret phrase. This phrase was always like "it is a [thing], it is an [object], it is the [thing] of the [object]." Then, Verbo would close his eyes and repeat the phrase. He would ask the children watching at home to do it too!
Centour, the tricky genie, also used magic. He would say similar phrases while shaking his fancy wristband. It looked like a big, shiny watch.
Verbo's friend was a young boy named Picot Cotton. Centour often played tricks on Picot's family.
