The Whispered Secret, also known as Leven Thumps and the Whispered Secret, is an exciting fantasy novel by Obert Skye. It continues the adventures of Leven, a seemingly ordinary boy from Oklahoma, and Winter Frore, a girl with special freezing powers. Together, they journey through the magical world of Foo to help their friend Geth. Their main goal is to restore Geth to his true form as the rightful ruler of Foo.

The Story So Far
After their last adventure, Leven Thumps and his friends escaped a tricky dream-master. They also destroyed a secret gateway between worlds. Now, Leven and his group must travel across Foo. Their big mission is to turn Geth from a tiny toothpick back into the powerful king he once was.
But Foo is still in trouble. Leven faces many enemies and dangers, like the tricky Swollen Forest. He needs to save his friends and keep hope alive. Things do not always go as planned. Even Geth starts to wonder if they will succeed. Leven also uncovers a long-hidden secret. This secret could be very dangerous if it falls into the wrong hands. Through all these challenges, Leven finds courage. He discovers a strength and power he never knew he had.
Main Characters
Leven Thumps
Leven is a fourteen-year-old boy with a special gift. He is an "offing," which means he can see and change the future. His eyes turn gold when he uses his power. Leven also has a patch of white hair. He is the grandson of Hector Thumps, who created the gateway to Foo. Leven is often called Lev by his friends. He grew up feeling alone until he met Clover and then Winter. They soon realized their important destiny.
Winter Frore
Winter is a "nit," a person with a unique talent. Her special gift is the ability to freeze things. She was born in the real world but ended up in Foo as a child. Later, she was brought back to Earth. Winter has pale skin, white-blond hair, and deep green eyes. Her real name is Judy.
Winter had a difficult childhood. She lived with an unkind adoptive mother. The only bright spot in her life was a kind family, the Tuttles. Winter often snuck out to visit them. On her thirteenth birthday, she discovered her freezing power. She then ran away with Leven, Geth, and Clover. Together, they travel to the mystical world of Foo. Winter also has a strong connection with Leven.
Geth
Geth is the true ruler of Foo. His soul was put into a seed by the evil Sabine. Antsel rescued him and brought him to our world. Geth is a "lithen," meaning he believes fate controls everything. He is currently in the form of a toothpick. By the end of the book, he is taken to the Fire of Turrets. There, he is restored to his powerful self. Geth is very wise and rarely afraid.
Part of Geth's soul went into another toothpick named Ezra. This means Ezra is a confused and angry little toothpick.
Sabine
Sabine is the darkest and most evil being in Foo. He is the main villain of the story. Like Winter, Sabine is a "niteon" or "nit." He also has the power to freeze objects and people. In the first book, Sabine was broken into many pieces. Now, half of him is in Foo and the other half is in the real world. In this broken form, Sabine can no longer use his freezing power.
Clover Ernest
Clover is a funny "sycophant" from Foo. He was sent to look after Leven, who is his "burn." Clover constantly tries to find nicknames for Leven. He has the power to "overshadow" other people, making them invisible. Sycophants wear silver robes. When they pull up their hood, they can turn invisible. Their robes also have a special pocket that acts like a void, holding endless items. There is only one way a sycophant can die. Only sycophants know this secret, until Leven learns it later.
Jamoon
Jamoon is a "rant" and one of Sabine's helpers. He becomes a major villain in this story. Some parts of Sabine were eaten by birds. These birds died but still lived on, becoming Jamoon's minions. They are the source of his power and cannot be killed. They are determined to follow Jamoon's every command.
Tim Tuttle
Tim Tuttle was Winter's kind neighbor. He cared for her over the years. When Winter went missing, he searched for her. He found Winter's rude adoptive mother, who did not seem to care.
Dennis Wood
Dennis Wood has had a difficult life. He accidentally meets Ezra, Geth's evil half. Dennis then travels to find the gateway to Foo. Along his journey, he encounters the evil remains of Sabine.
Ezra
Ezra is the angry, evil side of Geth. Geth's soul was split in half. Ezra tricked Dennis into working for him, but Ezra is just using him. Ezra's goal is to kill Geth. Ezra is a long, fancy toothpick with a purple frill and only one eye.

What is a Lithen?
Lithens are the first people to live in Foo. They were placed there by Foo's guiding force, which is fate. Their job is to protect the real Foo and its role in shaping dreams. Lithens are very honest and are believed to be impossible to corrupt. Geth is the most well-known lithen. They live by fate and are almost never afraid.
What is a Niteon?
Niteons, or "nits," are humans who came to Foo from Earth. They are the working class of Foo. They are stable and great at helping to make dreams better. After arriving in Foo, they gain a powerful gift. For example, many nits can control ice or float in the air. Winter Frore and Sabine are both nits who can control ice.

What is an Offing?
Offings are very rare and powerful individuals. They can see and change the future, just like Leven Thumps. They can also learn other special gifts. Because of their abilities, they are the most trusted helpers of the Want. Offings grow stronger through experience, not just by getting older.
What is a Rant?
Rants are children of nits. They are born without enough strong character to control dreams well. They are often confused and unstable. When dreams affect them, half of their bodies can change to match what someone in the real world is dreaming. They usually wear long robes to hide their changing forms. Jamoon is an example of a rant.
What is a Sycophant?
Sycophants are assigned to people who enter Foo. They help newcomers get used to the world and understand its ways. Their whole lives are spent serving their assigned person, called their "burn." Sycophants love to serve others. However, they sometimes get tired of helping. So, they have a special venom that can instantly knock out their victims. The victims then enter a trance where they see how wonderful sycophants are.
Who is The Want?
The Want is a wise, invisible being in Foo. He lives on the island of Lith. He sees every dream that comes into Foo. He can predict the future, but his many visions have made him a little bit crazy.
What is a Cog?
Cogs are children of nits who do not have a single special talent. However, they can still control and improve dreams.
What is a Whisp?
When people from Earth try to reach Foo but do not make it completely, they become "whisps." They only partly arrive in Foo. Their bodies and souls stay on Earth, making them feel like something is missing. Whisps are similar to ghosts. They often serve on governing councils. They are easily flattered and wish most for "soul stones" to become whole again.
