Lewis Watts (born in 1946) is an American photographer, writer, and teacher. He is known for his amazing photos and for helping to preserve important historical pictures. He used to be a professor of art at the University of California, Santa Cruz (U.C. Santa Cruz), which means he taught art there for many years and is now a respected retired teacher.

Lewis Watts was born in 1946 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He studied at the University of California, Berkeley, where he earned degrees in political science and also in photography and design. He taught at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and the University of California, Berkeley, along with other schools, for over 40 years.
