Lilt was a popular soft drink made by The Coca-Cola Company. It was known for its special tropical taste. This fizzy drink was mainly sold in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Gibraltar, and the Seychelles.

The "Totally Tropical Taste"
For many years, Lilt was famous for its catchy slogan: "the totally tropical taste." This slogan helped people remember its unique flavor. It was used in advertisements throughout the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, and 2010s.
Making Lilt Healthier
Between 2008 and 2014, The Coca-Cola Company changed Lilt to make it healthier. They reduced the amount of sugar in the drink. This also cut down the calories by more than half! To keep the sweet taste, they added some artificial sweeteners like aspartame and acesulfame K.
Fun Advertisements
Lilt had some memorable advertisements over the years.
- In the late 1980s, an ad featured the "Lilt Man." He was like a milkman but delivered Lilt in a special "Lilt float." A song with the words "Here comes the Lilt Man" played in the background.
- In the late 1990s, two Jamaican women, Blanche Williams and Hazel Palmer, became very famous. They were known as the "Lilt Ladies" and appeared in many ads for the drink.
- In 2003, Lilt got a fresh new look. They also introduced a new flavor: banana and peach.
Different Lilt Flavors
Lilt came in several exciting flavors over the years.
- Lilt Pineapple and Grapefruit: This was the very first flavor, launched in 1974.
- Lilt Zero Pineapple and Grapefruit: This sugar-free version came out in 1987. It had a few different names over time, like "Diet Lilt" and "Lilt Light."
- Lilt Mango and Mandarin: This tropical flavor was available starting in 1996 but was stopped in the early 2000s.
- Lilt Banana and Peach: Introduced in 2003, this flavor was also discontinued a few years later.
- Lilt Mango Flavour: This mango-only flavor was launched in 2011. It was mostly sold in cans at smaller shops and was discontinued in 2015.
