Lindell Shamar Wigginton (born March 28, 1998) is a professional basketball player from Canada. He used to play for the Shandong Hi-Speed Kirin team in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). Before becoming a pro, he played college basketball for the Iowa State Cyclones.

Early Life and High School Career
Lindell Wigginton grew up in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada. His family has roots in Halifax and North Preston. He played basketball for one year at Prince Andrew High School in his hometown.
When he was 15, Lindell moved to the United States. He joined Oak Hill Academy in Mouth of Wilson, Virginia. This school is famous for its basketball program.
Lindell was a highly-rated player, known as a "four-star recruit" by ESPN. This means many top colleges wanted him to play for their teams. In October 2016, he decided to play for Iowa State. He chose them over other big schools like Arizona State and Oregon.
In 2017, Lindell played in the Nike Hoop Summit. This event features top young basketball players from around the world. He scored 11 points and had 7 assists for the World Select Team.

College Career
As a freshman at Iowa State, Lindell was one of the team's best players. He scored about 16.7 points per game. He also grabbed 3.7 rebounds and made 2.8 assists per game. After his first year, he thought about joining the 2018 NBA draft. However, he decided to stay at Iowa State for another year.
In his second year, Lindell averaged 13.4 points per game. He also had 4 rebounds and 2.1 assists. He was named the Big 12 Conference Sixth Man of the Year. This award goes to the best player who usually comes off the bench. He started only two of his 26 games that season because of a foot injury. After this season, he decided to enter the 2019 NBA draft.
Professional Career
Iowa Wolves (2019–2020)
Lindell was not chosen in the 2019 NBA draft. However, he joined the Toronto Raptors for the 2019 NBA Summer League. Later, he signed a special contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves. This contract led him to play for their G League team, the Iowa Wolves. The G League is like a development league for the NBA.
In November 2019, he scored 24 points, had 7 assists, and grabbed 6 rebounds in a game. Overall, he averaged 15.3 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game for the Iowa Wolves.
Ironi Nes Ziona (2020)
In May 2020, Lindell signed with Ironi Nes Ziona. This team plays in the Israeli Premier League. He averaged 8.6 points per game while playing there.
Return to Iowa (2021)
In January 2021, Lindell went back to play for the Iowa Wolves. He played 17 games, averaging 17.1 points, 5.2 assists, and 4.1 rebounds per game. He played about 35 minutes per game and shot very well.
Hamilton Honey Badgers (2021)
In June 2021, Lindell joined the Hamilton Honey Badgers. This team is part of the Canadian Elite Basketball League.

Milwaukee Bucks (2022)
On January 13, 2022, Lindell signed a "two-way contract" with the Milwaukee Bucks. This type of contract allows a player to play for both an NBA team and its G League team. On April 10, Lindell scored 18 points and had 8 assists in a game for the Bucks.
In July 2022, he signed with the Bucks again. He played for them in the 2022 NBA Summer League. In his first Summer League game, he scored 17 points and had 7 assists. He was even named to the All-NBA Summer League Second Team.
Return to Wisconsin (2022–2023)
On November 3, 2022, Lindell was back on the roster for the Wisconsin Herd.
Return to the Bucks (2023–2024)
On March 7, 2023, Lindell signed another two-way contract with the Milwaukee Bucks. He stayed with them until January 7, 2024, when he was waived.
Xinjiang Flying Tigers (2024)
On February 5, 2024, Lindell signed with the Xinjiang Flying Tigers. This team plays in the Chinese Basketball Association.
Shandong Hi-Speed Kirin (2024)
On August 24, 2024, Lindell signed with Shandong Hi-Speed Kirin. This is another team in the Chinese Basketball Association.
National Team Career
Lindell has also played for Team Canada. In 2016, he helped Canada win a silver medal at the 2016 FIBA Americas Under-18 Championship in Chile.
He played a very important role in Canada winning the gold medal at the 2017 FIBA Under-19 Basketball World Cup in Egypt. During that tournament, he averaged 12.4 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game. He missed some games due to an injury but returned for the championship game against Italy. In that game, he scored 11 points and helped his team win gold.
