As of today, here is the order of who would become the next Emperor:
- Crown Prince Naruhito, born in 1960. He is the current Emperor's first son. He is first in line to the throne.
- Prince Akishino (Fumihito), born in 1965. He is the current Emperor's second son. He is second in line.
- Prince Hisahito of Akishino, born on September 6, 2006. He is Prince Akishino's son. He is third in line.
