Linköping Football Club (often called LFC) is a professional football team from Linköping, Sweden. It was started in 2003. This happened when the women's football club Kenty DFF joined with the ice hockey club Linköping HC. The main goals for Linköping FC were to make women's football popular in Linköping. They also wanted to become one of the top four teams in Sweden.

Team History and Successes
In 2004, Linköping FC played their first season in the top women's league, called Damallsvenskan. They finished in sixth place. The next two years, they reached their goal of being a top team. They finished fourth in 2005 and third in 2006.
Winning the Swedish Cup
The club also won the Svenska Cupen (which means "The Swedish Cup") for the first time in 2006. They beat Umeå IK with a score of 3–2 in the final match. In 2007, they finished sixth, which was not as good as they hoped.
In 2008, Linköping FC was in the lead for a long time during the season. However, they ended up in second place behind Umeå IK. But they still won the Svenska Cupen again that same year. They beat Umeå 1–0 in the final.
Important Players Joining
After 2007, some new and talented players joined the team. Jessica Landström signed with LFC after playing for her national team. In February, two famous Brazilian players, Cristiane and Daniela, also joined the club.

Playing in the UEFA Women's Champions League
Linköping FC has also played in the UEFA Women's Champions League, which is a big competition for top clubs in Europe. They have done well in many seasons, often reaching the later stages of the tournament.
They have made it to the Quarter-finals of the Champions League several times. This shows they are one of the strong teams in European women's football. For example, they reached the Quarter-finals in the 2010–11, 2014–15, and 2017–18 seasons.
