Link Belt station is a train station in Chalfont, Pennsylvania. It is part of the SEPTA Lansdale/Doylestown Line. You can find it at County Line Road and Walnut Street. The station is special because it's right next to a popular spot called "Whistle Stop Park."

What is Link Belt Station?

Link Belt station is a small stop for trains. It is on the Montgomery County side of County Line Road. This station is part of the SEPTA Regional Rail system. In 2017, only about 23 people got on the train here each weekday. About 20 people got off. This made Link Belt the least used station in the entire SEPTA Regional Rail system.

A Bit of History

The station was built by the Reading Railroad company. It opened on December 2, 1952. The main reason for building it was to serve a company called Link-Belt. This company made construction equipment. Their factory was right across the street from the train tracks.

However, the Link-Belt company stopped working in that area in 1983. The old factory building is now used by Dorman Products.

Why So Few Riders?

Because very few people used Link Belt station, some changes were made. On December 18, 2011, weekend train service was stopped at this station. This means trains no longer stopped here on Saturdays and Sundays. This decision was made because not enough people were using the station on weekends.
