Lisa Rinna (born July 11, 1963) is an American actress, TV personality, and model. She is famous for her roles as Billie Reed on the soap opera Days of Our Lives and Taylor McBride on the TV drama Melrose Place. From 2014 to 2022, Lisa was also a main star on the reality TV series The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
She has appeared on other popular shows like Dancing with the Stars and The Celebrity Apprentice. Lisa also had guest roles in series such as Entourage, Veronica Mars, and The Middle. In 2007, she made her debut on Broadway in the musical Chicago, playing the character Roxie Hart.
Lisa also hosted the talk show Soap Talk from 2002 to 2006, which earned her four Emmy nominations. Beyond acting and hosting, she has written three books. She also has her own fashion line called The Lisa Rinna Collection, a cosmetics brand called Rinna Beauty, and a beverage company called Rinna Wines.

Early Life and Career Start
Lisa Rinna was born on July 11, 1963, in Newport Beach, California. Her parents were Lois Irene and Frank Rinna. Her family moved to Medford, Oregon, when she was seven years old, and she grew up there.
She graduated from Medford Senior High School in 1981. After high school, Lisa moved to San Francisco, California, to start a career in modeling. She began by appearing in TV commercials. She once shared that she likely got her acting union card from a commercial for Mervyn's department store.
Early Acting Roles (1981–1991)
At 21, Lisa appeared in the music video for John Parr's song "Naughty Naughty". She made her first TV acting appearance in 1990. She played the girlfriend of Jason Bateman's character in a few episodes of The Hogan Family.
Becoming a Soap Opera Star (1992–1999)
In 1992, Lisa Rinna began playing the character Billie Reed on NBC's Days of Our Lives. Her performance earned her two Soap Opera Digest Awards. She left the show in 1995 but returned to play Billie Reed again in 2002, 2012, and 2018.
After her success in daytime TV, she moved to primetime television. From 1996 to 1998, she played Taylor McBride on Aaron Spelling's popular show Melrose Place. During the late 1990s, Lisa also appeared in several TV movies.
New Roles and Hosting Gigs (2000–2007)
In 2000, Lisa starred in the Lifetime movie Another Woman's Husband. This movie was very popular and had some of the highest ratings for Lifetime at the time. The next year, in 2001, she played Veronica Simpson in the comedy film Good Advice.
Lisa became a host for Soap Talk from 2002 to 2006. This was a daily lifestyle show on the Soapnet cable network. She and her co-host, Ty Treadway, were nominated for four Daytime Emmy Awards for their work on the show. At the same time, Lisa also hosted three seasons of Lifetime's home makeover show called Merge.
In 2004, she guest-starred on the ABC sitcom 8 Simple Rules. She also had a recurring role as Lynn Echolls on The CW drama Veronica Mars.
Dancing and Broadway (2006-2007)
In 2006, Lisa competed on the second season of Dancing with the Stars. She danced with professional partner Louis van Amstel. She was eliminated in the seventh round, even though her scores from the judges were higher than another celebrity dancer, Jerry Rice. She was also a regular guest co-host on Live with Regis and Kelly.
In 2007, she played Drama's ex-girlfriend, Donna Devaney, on HBO's Entourage. That summer, Lisa starred as Roxie Hart in the Broadway musical Chicago. Her husband, Harry Hamlin, also performed in the show as Billy Flynn.
From 2007 to 2009, Lisa hosted the red carpet coverage for the TV Guide Network during awards season.
Reality TV and Business Ventures (2008–2013)
In 2008, Lisa appeared in the Disney Channel show Hannah Montana. She played Francesca, Mr. Dontzig's cousin. That same year, Lisa and her husband, Harry Hamlin, signed a deal for their own reality TV show. The series, called Harry Loves Lisa, started in 2010 and ran for six episodes.
In 2008, she also released a series of workout videos called Dance Body Beautiful. She appeared on the covers of several magazines in 2009.
In 2010, Lisa was a guest judge on an episode of RuPaul's Drag Race. In 2011, she appeared on Nickelodeon's Big Time Rush. Lisa also competed on The Celebrity Apprentice twice. She was a contestant in season 4 and returned for the "All-Stars" season.
Lisa and Harry Hamlin used to own a clothing store called Belle Gray in Sherman Oaks, California. They closed the store in 2012 because they became too busy with their acting careers.
Commercials and Fashion Line
During this time, Lisa also appeared in many commercials and print ads. She was in ads for M&M's candies and for "The Flex Belt" abdominal muscle toner. She also appeared in commercials for Taco Bell and infomercials for Winsor Pilates. In 2012, she became a spokesperson for Depend adult incontinence briefs to help a charity called Dress for Success.
In April 2012, Lisa launched her own fashion line, The Lisa Rinna Collection, on the shopping channel QVC.
Becoming a Reality TV Icon (2014–2022)
In 2014, Lisa was a contestant on ABC's game show Sing Your Face Off. Later that year, she joined the main cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for its fifth season. Many people say her joining the show helped boost its ratings and made it even more popular. Lisa herself said in 2019 that the show made her more famous than ever before.
In June 2019, Lisa launched a collection of activewear with the retailer Goldsheep. Part of the money from this collection went to The Trevor Project. This organization helps LGBTQ youth with crisis intervention and suicide prevention. In September 2019, she walked the runway at New York Fashion Week for a new clothing brand.
In September 2020, Lisa announced her own cosmetics brand, Rinna Beauty. In 2021, she returned to her role as Billie Reed for a special miniseries called Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem. She also continued to appear in guest roles on TV shows like C.S.I. and The Middle. In 2022, Lisa announced she was starting a new business venture with a product called Rinna Rosé, an alcoholic beverage.
Life After Housewives (2023–Present)
On January 6, 2023, Lisa Rinna announced that she was leaving The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills after eight seasons. In 2023, she guest-starred on the third season of American Horror Stories.

Personal Life
Lisa Rinna married actor Harry Hamlin on March 29, 1997, in Beverly Hills, California. They have two daughters, Delilah Belle and Amelia Gray. Lisa has openly discussed having some cosmetic procedures.
On November 15, 2021, Lisa shared that her mother, Lois, who had appeared on The Real Housewives show, passed away from a stroke.
