Lisa Rinna (born July 11, 1963) is an American actress, television personality, and model. She is famous for her roles in popular TV shows. Many people know her as Billie Reed on the soap opera Days of Our Lives and as Taylor McBride on the drama Melrose Place.
From 2014 to 2022, Rinna was a star on the reality TV series The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She has also appeared on other shows like The Celebrity Apprentice and Dancing with the Stars. In 2007, she performed on Broadway in the musical Chicago.
Rinna hosted the talk show Soap Talk from 2002 to 2006. She has also written three books and created her own fashion and beauty brands.

Early life
Lisa Deanna Rinna was born in Newport Beach, California. Her parents are Lois and Frank Rinna. She has Portuguese and Italian heritage. When Lisa was seven, her family moved to Medford, Oregon, where she grew up. She graduated from Medford Senior High School in 1981.
A very serious event happened to her mother, Lois, before Lisa was born. Lois was attacked but was bravely saved by a military police officer. Lois later appeared on The Real Housewives with Lisa and shared her story of survival.
Career
Starting Out as an Actress
After high school, Rinna moved to San Francisco to become a model. She appeared in many TV commercials. At age 21, she was in the music video for John Parr's song "Naughty Naughty". In 1990, she got her first recurring TV role on the show The Hogan Family.
Becoming a TV Star
In 1992, Rinna joined the cast of the popular soap opera Days of Our Lives as Billie Reed. She played this role until 1995 and returned several times over the years. Her performance won her two Soap Opera Digest Awards.
From 1996 to 1998, she starred as Taylor McBride in the hit primetime show Melrose Place. During the late 1990s, she also acted in several TV movies.
Hosting and Other Roles
From 2002 to 2006, Rinna co-hosted the talk show Soap Talk. She and her co-host were nominated for four Daytime Emmy Awards. She also hosted a home makeover show called Merge.
In 2006, she competed on the second season of Dancing with the Stars. In 2007, she and her husband, Harry Hamlin, starred in the Broadway musical Chicago.
Reality TV and Business
In 2010, Rinna and her family starred in their own reality show called Harry Loves Lisa. She also competed on The Celebrity Apprentice in 2011 and 2013.
Rinna is also a business owner. For a time, she and her husband owned a clothing store. In 2012, she launched the Lisa Rinna Collection on the shopping channel QVC. She also appeared in commercials for brands like M&M's and Taco Bell.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills
In 2014, Rinna joined the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She became one of the show's most famous stars. Being on the show brought her more attention than ever before. She was on the show for eight seasons.
During this time, she continued to grow her businesses. In 2020, she launched Rinna Beauty, a cosmetics line. She also started a beverage company called Rinna Wines.
On January 6, 2023, Rinna announced she was leaving The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Since then, she has guest-starred on other shows, including American Horror Stories.
Personal life
Rinna married actor Harry Hamlin on March 29, 1997. They have two daughters, Delilah Belle and Amelia Gray, who are both models.
Rinna has been open about having cosmetic procedures.
On November 15, 2021, Rinna's mother, Lois, passed away after having a stroke. Lois was known to fans from her appearances on The Real Housewives franchise.
