Power Rangers S.P.D. is a cool TV show from 2005. It's all about the Power Rangers of the Space Patrol Delta police force. They fight against the evil Troobian Empire in the year 2025.

S.P.D. Rangers: Earth's Heroes

The S.P.D. Power Rangers are the main heroes in the Power Rangers S.P.D. TV series. They are part of the Space Patrol Delta (S.P.D.) organization, which is like a police force for space!

The Rangers in this series are called B-Squad. At first, they were just a backup team. But when the A-Squad (the main team) disappeared, the B-Squad stepped up! They became Earth's most important defenders and even helped train new cadets.

Jack Landors: The Red Ranger Leader

Jack Landors (played by Brandon Jay McLaren) is the S.P.D. Red Ranger. He used to live on the streets with his best friend, Z. Jack became the Red Ranger to help save Z and the other Rangers. He became the team leader, even though Sky Tate thought he should be.

At first, Jack didn't take his role very seriously. But he soon proved he was a great leader! He sometimes bent the rules to do what was right, like helping Sky deal with a villain who hurt his father.

Later, Jack realized he wanted to help people on the streets full-time. After the big battle with Gruumm, Jack left S.P.D. to work with his friend Ally. Sky then became the new Red Ranger. Even though Jack left without saying goodbye, he and the B-Squad Rangers stayed close.

It's possible Jack rejoined his teammates later in Power Rangers Super Megaforce for a huge final battle.

When he's not morphed, Jack has a special power: he can become invisible and pass through objects! As the Red Ranger, he has a special Battlizer suit and controls two Zords. He's also a great shot with his Delta Blasters. His uniform has the number 1.

Schuyler "Sky" Tate: The Blue Ranger Who Became Red

Schuyler "Sky" Tate (played by Chris Violette) is the S.P.D. Blue Ranger. He was very strict about rules and thought he should be the Red Ranger, just like his dad was. Sky was the best fighter and weapons expert on B-Squad. But because he was too proud and didn't trust his teammates enough, Commander Cruger made him the Blue Ranger instead.

When Sky faced Mirloc, the villain who killed his father, Jack let Sky be the Red Ranger for that mission. Sky learned that heroes come in all colors, not just red. After tough training, he realized how important teamwork was. He learned to be a great follower and later, a strong leader.

When Jack left S.P.D., Sky became the new Red Ranger. Later, when Commander Cruger got a promotion, Sky became the Earth Commander, and Bridge became the Red Ranger. Sky's special power when unmorphed is creating force fields.

Bridge Carson: The Green Ranger Genius

Bridge Carson (played by Matt Austin) is the S.P.D. Green Ranger. He might seem a bit slow sometimes, but he's actually a super smart computer and mechanic genius! Bridge is kind-hearted and always comes through with clever ideas. He loves "buttery" toast and wiggles his fingers when he says it! He's also Jewish and celebrates Hanukkah.

Bridge sometimes overthinks things and lacks confidence. But he's the first to sense when something is wrong, like with the A-Squad. The other Rangers learned to trust his instincts, and he became more confident.

Bridge's special power is being able to sense auras and energy. He can even track thoughts! He often wears gloves because he can't always control this power.

After Jack left, Bridge became the Blue Ranger. Then, when Sky was promoted, Bridge became the Red Ranger! He even joined other veteran Rangers to fight villains in another Power Rangers adventure.

His S.P.D. number is 3, then 2, and finally 1.

Elizabeth "Z" Delgado: The Yellow Ranger Who Duplicates

Elizabeth "Z" Delgado (played by Monica May) is the S.P.D. Yellow Ranger. When she was younger, she felt like an outsider because of her special power. She ended up living on the streets with Jack, where they sometimes took things to survive. But Z wanted to do something more important, which led her to join S.P.D.

Z is easy-going but a fierce fighter. She became good friends with Bridge and Syd. Her special power is duplication: she can make many copies of herself, becoming like a whole army!

Z has a long history with Piggy, an alien informant. She often trusted him for information, even when he seemed sneaky. She was shocked when he openly worked for Gruumm.

After tough training, Z and Syd learned to work together. When Jack left S.P.D., Z stayed, continuing to protect innocent people. She also appeared with her teammates in Super Megaforce.

Her S.P.D. number is 4. She's also good at tap dancing and jazz dancing.

Sydney "Syd" Drew: The Pink Ranger with Material Powers

Sydney "Syd" Drew (played by Alycia Purrott) is the S.P.D. Pink Ranger. Her parents worked at S.P.D. and helped create the Delta Morphers, which changed Syd's DNA and gave her a special ability. Her family is also very rich.

Syd has many talents, like fencing, singing, and modeling. Even though she can be a bit vain, she's very caring and often stands up for others. She and Z sometimes argue, but deep down, they really care about each other and often fight together.

When unmorphed, Syd's special power lets her change her hand into any material she touches, like metal or rock!

Syd and her teammates also joined the Megaforce Rangers in their final battle.

Sam: The Omega Ranger from the Future

Sam (played by Brett Stewart and voiced by Yuri Lowenthal) was a lonely street orphan whose special power to teleport objects made him a target for bullies. He was tricked by the villain Mora, but Z realized Sam wasn't evil and just wanted friends. Sam eventually joined the S.P.D. Academy.

In the year 2040, Sam became the Omega Ranger. He traveled back in time to 2025 to stop Morgana and save Earth. He learned the importance of teamwork when the B-Squad Rangers helped him. Traveling through time changed him into a floating orb of energy, so his Ranger form was his only human-like appearance. He helped the B-Squad fight Gruumm's invasion.

The Omega Ranger brought cool futuristic gear, like the Uniforce Cycle and the Omegamax Cycle Zord. His Omega Morpher gave him super strength, time control, and electric blasts. His suit has the Roman numeral "VI" (for six).

After the final battle, Sam's friend, Nova Ranger, came for him, and they returned to the future. He also appeared in Super Megaforce.

Anubis "Doggie" Cruger: The Shadow Ranger Commander

Anubis "Doggie" Cruger is a dog-like alien from the planet Sirius. He led the S.P.D. forces against the Troobian Empire, even scarring Emperor Gruumm by cutting off his horn. But the battle was lost, and Cruger thought his wife, Isinia, was gone. He vowed never to fight again and came to Earth.

On Earth, Anubis started the S.P.D. Earth Academy and trained the Ranger squads. When Gruumm came to Earth, Cruger promoted the B-Squad to active Rangers.

Cruger is a great judge of character. He gave Jack and Z, who were criminals, a chance to become Rangers. He also saw potential in Boom, who didn't make it as a Ranger.

Anubis will do anything to protect those he cares about. When Dr. Manx was kidnapped, he broke his vow and became the Shadow Ranger (suit number 100). He uses his Patrol Morpher and the Shadow Saber. He can also control the Delta Command Megazord, which is actually the S.P.D. Base! As the Shadow Ranger, he's a huge help to the B-Squad.

Cruger believed his wife was dead, but he later found out she was alive and held captive by Gruumm. After a big battle, Cruger defeated Gruumm and rescued Isinia. He then promoted the B-Squad to the highest Ranger level. He also promoted Sky to Red Ranger and Bridge to Blue Ranger.

Later, Cruger became the Supreme Commander of S.P.D.

Dr. Katherine "Kat" Manx: The Tech Genius Kat Ranger

Dr. Katherine "Kat" Manx (played by Michelle Langstone) is the super smart technical expert for Earth's S.P.D. She's like a humanoid cat alien and is 147 Earth years old, even though she looks young! Kat invented all of Earth's S.P.D. technology, from the Judgment Scanner to the Delta Command Megazord. She's always in the Command Center, helping the Rangers with science.

Kat is a good friend to Commander Cruger. She also mentored Boom, helping him become a tech expert.

Even though she's a scientist, Kat can fight! She's very agile and skilled. In one episode, she even became the S.P.D. Kat Ranger for an hour, thanks to a temporary Morpher. Her costume was orange and white with cat ears, and she had a heptagon (seven-sided shape) on her chest instead of a number. As the Kat Ranger, she could create bright lights and throw "Cat Stunners."

Kat played a key role in the final battle, helping to stop Broodwing and fighting Gruumm's forces.

Nova Ranger: Omega's Future Ally

Nova Ranger is a character from the TV series Power Rangers S.P.D.. She is voiced by Antonia Prebble. Her S.P.D. number is 7.

During the final battle with Gruumm, the S.P.D. base was in trouble. Suddenly, a time-portal appeared, and a silver Ranger stepped out! She was the S.P.D. Nova Ranger, Omega Ranger's ally from the future. She had been searching for him across different timelines. With her help, the S.P.D. base was saved. After the battle, Nova Ranger and a now-human Omega Ranger returned to the future.

Nova Ranger has a device similar to Omega Ranger's, called the Nova Morpher. It helps her travel through time and even restored Omega Ranger to his human form.

When Birdy visited Earth, he disagreed with Cruger's tactics. This led to Cruger being briefly removed from command. Birdy tried to fight Emperor Gruumm himself but was quickly defeated. Luckily, Shadow Ranger (Cruger) saved him! Birdy then realized Cruger's way was better and praised him.

Birdy later helped Dr. Manx become the Kat Ranger. In the final battle, he even joined the fight against the Troobians.

Sergeant Silverback: The Tough Trainer

Sergeant Silverback (played by John Tui) is an alien gorilla-like S.P.D. training instructor from the planet Zentor. He's a friend of Commander Cruger. Cruger sent the B-Squad to him to learn teamwork. Silverback put them through very tough training, which made their friendships stronger.

After they passed his training, he gave them the S.P.D. S.W.A.T. Truck, which gave them access to S.W.A.T. Mode. Sergeant Silverback talks like a tough military officer and has an old S.P.D. canine robot, like R.I.C. He also helped in the final battle.

Boom: The Lab Assistant

Boom (played by Kelson Henderson) is Dr. Kat Manx's lab assistant. He loves to test out her new inventions! Boom tried to join the S.P.D. Academy but didn't make it. However, Cruger saw something special in him and asked Kat to make him her assistant.

Boom once pretended to be the "Orange Ranger" to impress his parents, which caused some trouble for the real Rangers. But he learned his lesson and told his parents the truth.

In the two-part finale, Boom played an important role. He helped free himself and Kat, allowing them to stop a giant robot attack. He also gave an inspiring speech to the S.P.D. cadets, encouraging them to fight when the Rangers were busy.

When the Rangers found out her secret, she was unfairly kicked out. But Cruger helped her, and she returned to S.P.D. She helped activate the Delta Command Megazord. S.P.D. realized how valuable she was and gave her a job as a programmer.

Piggy: The Informant with a Heart?

Piggy (played by Barnie Duncan) is a unique alien who knows a lot about the city's secrets. He sometimes helps different groups, depending on who pays him or threatens him. He used to live on the streets and knew a lot about the underworld.

He has a strange friendship with Z, who often trusts him for information. Piggy sometimes worked for both S.P.D. and the villains, playing both sides. He even helped villains get S.W.A.T. technology.

In the finale, Piggy tricked the B-Squad into a trap, which shocked Z. But then, he had a change of heart, sneaked onto Gruumm's ship, and freed the Rangers! He even helped in the final battle. Afterward, he joined Jack and Ally in their business of helping homeless people.

Troobian Empire: The Evil Invaders

The Troobian Empire is a huge, warlike army led by Emperor Gruumm. Any alien serving Gruumm is called a Troobian.

Gruumm's forces travel in scary spaceships called Terror Spacecraft. These ships are used to conquer and destroy planets. Inside, they are dark and creepy.

Omni: The Brain Behind the Evil

Omni (voiced by Geoff Dolan) is secretly the true leader of the Troobians. He's a giant brain in a tank on Gruumm's spaceship, with one eye on a tentacle. He was mentioned a few times but finally revealed at the end of an episode, making Mora promise to serve him. His name was revealed later.

Omni's plan was to drain Earth's resources to build a giant body for himself called The Magnificence. Gruumm built this body using the stolen resources. Once Omni connected to it, he became a huge, powerful being. He fought the S.W.A.T. Megazord, but Doggie Cruger opened a panel inside, allowing the Megazord to destroy The Magnificence, taking Omni with it.

Omni had mind powers and could even control Gruumm from a distance. In his Magnificence body, he was huge and very destructive.

Emperor Gruumm: The Ruthless Conqueror

Emperor Gruumm (played by Rene Naufahu) is the main leader of the Troobian alien race. His goal is to conquer the entire universe! He's relentless and won't let anything stop him. He destroyed Commander Cruger's home planet, Sirius, and in 2025, he attacked Earth.

Gruumm's main plan is to overwhelm planets with massive attacks, then drain their resources. He used this tactic on Sirius and tried it on Earth. He was secretly collecting Earth's resources to build Omni's giant body, The Magnificence.

Emperor Gruumm has two helpers: Mora (who later becomes Morgana) and Broodwing. He hates Cruger because Cruger cut off his right horn during the battle for Sirius. Gruumm is the strongest warrior in the Troobian Empire. He uses a staff that shoots energy and rides a laser-shooting motorcycle. He can also use mind powers and change his shape.

In the final battle, Cruger defeated Gruumm, cutting off his other horn, and captured him.

Broodwing: The Greedy Weapons Dealer

Broodwing (voiced by Jim McLarty) is a three-eyed, vampire bat-like alien. He's a weapons dealer for the Troobians and cares only about money. He supposedly works for Emperor Gruumm but also works for other aliens. He sells Gruumm giant robots and different types of Krybots.

Gruumm stopped paying Broodwing, which made Broodwing angry. So, Broodwing started plotting against Gruumm and tried to conquer Earth himself to get ahead. For a while, Broodwing caused more attacks on Earth than Gruumm did!

When Cruger was kidnapped, Broodwing tried to take over the Delta Base to destroy Newtech City. But his plan failed, and he was arrested.

Mora/Morgana: The Drawing Monster Creator

Morgana is a servant of Emperor Gruumm. Gruumm found her and turned her into Mora, a 10-year-old girl. As Mora, she was pure evil and could create real monsters from her drawings! She loved playing with dolls.

Mora was very spoiled and annoyed Gruumm. She tricked a lonely boy named Sam into helping her monster, Bugglesworth. But Sam realized her evil plan, and Z helped stop her.

After one of her allies was defeated, Gruumm punished Mora by turning her back into her adult form, Morgana. She was strong and beautiful, but she thought she looked ugly as an adult. Morgana desperately tried to impress Gruumm to become Mora again. She had a battle suit and could shoot energy and fight well. Even as an adult, she still acted like a cruel child.

When Morgana succeeded in a mission, Gruumm turned her back into Mora. But then, Omni mind-controlled Mora, changing her personality. She even threw away her beloved doll and started wearing a military outfit.

Near the end of the series, Cruger captured Mora.

  • A-Squad Yellow (voiced by Greg Cooper II) - A Caucasian human male.
  • A-Squad Pink (played by Motoko Nagino and voiced by Claire Dougan) - An Asian human female.

At first, they only appeared morphed. They were sent to fight Gruumm, but this was a trap. They were thought to be "missing in action."

Unknown to the B-Squad, the A-Squad had survived and joined Gruumm's side, thinking he was the winning team. They faked a crash landing to trick the B-Squad into finding them. The B-Squad Rangers became frustrated when Cruger seemed to favor the A-Squad.

However, the A-Squad soon showed their true colors by kidnapping Commander Cruger. The B-Squad then battled the A-Squad. Even though the A-Squad was strong, the B-Squad used smarter tactics and their S.W.A.T. Mode to win. The A-Squad used their own Megazord, but the B-Squad destroyed it with the S.W.A.T. Megazord.

The A-Squad was found to have betrayed S.P.D. and were captured by the B-Squad. Commander Cruger offered to promote the B-Squad to A-Squad status, but the B-Squad refused, saying they were proud to be the B-Squad. So, the "A-Squad" ranking was retired, and the B-Squad became the highest-ranked team in S.P.D.

Krybots: The Troobian Foot Soldiers
