Power Rangers S.P.D. is a thrilling 2005 season of Power Rangers. The action takes place in the year 2025, where a team of young heroes must protect Earth from alien threats.
Main Characters
B-Squad Rangers
The B-Squad is a group of Power Ranger cadets who work for Space Patrol Delta (S.P.D.). They were originally meant to be a backup team. However, when S.P.D.'s main A-Squad disappears, the B-Squad gets promoted! They become the new Power Rangers, tasked with protecting New Tech City and Earth from the Troobian Empire. Many of these Rangers also have special powers because their parents helped create S.P.D.
Jack Landors: The Red Ranger
Jack Landors is the S.P.D. Red Ranger and the leader of the B-Squad. He has the cool power to walk through solid objects! Jack started out as a homeless street thief with his best friend, Z. They joined S.P.D. to help others. At first, Jack didn't take his new role seriously. But he soon grew into a strong and effective leader. He sometimes bent the rules, but always for the right reasons. He also developed a respectful understanding with his teammate, Sky Tate. After defeating the Troobian Empire, Jack decided to leave S.P.D. to do volunteer work with a civilian named Ally.
When he transforms, Jack uses two Delta Blasters and has a special Battlizer suit.
Jack Landors is played by Brandon Jay McLaren.
Sky Tate: The Blue Ranger
Schuyler "Sky" Tate is the S.P.D. Blue Ranger and the second-in-command to Jack. He was one of the first members of the B-Squad. Sky's father was a Red Ranger, and Sky always wanted to follow in his footsteps. He can create force fields to protect himself and others. Sky strongly believed in following all the rules. His father was lost in action years ago, and Sky wanted to avenge him. However, his pride sometimes got in the way, and he became the Blue Ranger instead of Red. Throughout the series, he often disagreed with Jack, who became the Red Ranger over him. Sky eventually caught the criminal who harmed his father and learned how to be a true leader. When Jack left S.P.D., Sky finally became the Red Ranger for the B-Squad.
Sky Tate is played by Chris Violette.
Bridge Carson: The Green Ranger
Bridge Carson is the S.P.D. Green Ranger. He's a super smart computer genius and an amazing mechanic. Bridge can sometimes seem a bit silly or slow, but he has a very kind heart and a brilliant mind. As the story goes on, he becomes much more confident. He later gets promoted to the Blue Ranger.
Even when he's not transformed, Bridge has special abilities. He can sense things by touching objects (this is called psychometry), and he can also read auras and energy. Later, he even learns to read thoughts! Because he can't always control these powers, he wears gloves.
Bridge Carson is played by Matt Austin.
Z Delgado: The Yellow Ranger
Elizabeth "Z" Delgado is the S.P.D. Yellow Ranger. She used to be a street thief, just like Jack. Z has the unique power to make copies of herself! Because of this ability, she was often left out when she was younger. She later met Jack Landors and Piggy, becoming good friends with them before joining S.P.D. Z is easy-going but can be a bit messy. In a fight, she's incredibly fierce. Over time, she becomes good friends with her teammate Syd Drew, even though they have different personalities. Z also helps Sam, which leads to him joining S.P.D.
Z Delgado is played by Monica May.
Syd Drew: The Pink Ranger
Sydney "Syd" Drew is the S.P.D. Pink Ranger and another original member of the B-Squad. Her special power allows her to absorb the properties of other materials just by touching them with her hands. Syd comes from a wealthy family. She might seem a bit self-centered at first, but she has a very caring and kind side.
Syd Drew is played by Alycia Purrott.
Doggie Cruger: The Shadow Ranger
Commander Anubis "Doggie" Cruger is a canine-like alien from the planet Sirius. He's one of the very first members of S.P.D. Doggie trained at the S.P.D. academy and even scarred the evil Emperor Gruumm when he was younger. However, he was defeated by General Benagg, who destroyed his home planet and seemingly took his wife, Isinia. After this, Cruger founded the Earth branch of S.P.D. He trains new recruits to become Power Rangers and also becomes the powerful Shadow Ranger.
Doggie Cruger is voiced by John Tui in Power Rangers S.P.D. and Kyle Hebert in Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid.

By the year 2040, Sam becomes the white-colored Omega Ranger. He travels back in time to 2025 to save the B-Squad from a villain named Devastation. This journey helps prevent a terrible future where the Troobian Empire takes over Earth. Even though he turns into a floating ball of energy outside his Ranger form, Sam stays in 2025 to help the B-Squad defeat the Troobian Empire before returning to his own time.
As the Omega Ranger, Sam has a special bike called the Uniforce Cycle and the Omega Morpher. This Morpher lets him transform and gives him extra powers like controlling time, making him stronger, and shooting electricity from his hand.
