How the Role Changed (2009–2010)
Between August 2009 and November 2010, Niger had a different system. During this time, the Prime Minister was not the main head of the government. Instead, they mostly helped the President.
Then, in November 2010, Niger went back to its original system. In this system, the Prime Minister became the head of the government again. This means they are in charge of many important decisions for the country.
