A skyscraper is a very tall building, usually with many floors. The tallest building in El Paso is the WestStar Tower. It has 20 stories and stands 314 feet (96 m) tall. It was finished in 2021.
The second tallest building is the Wells Fargo Plaza. This tower was the tallest in El Paso for 50 years, from 1971 to 2021. It reaches 302 feet (92 m) high. The third tallest building is One San Jacinto Plaza. It stands 280 feet (85 m) tall.
The history of tall buildings in El Paso began in 1907. That's when the El Paso and Southwestern Railroad Office Building was completed. This building is still standing today. It is 104 feet (32 m) tall and has seven floors. The Anson Mills Building was finished in 1911. It has 12 floors and is 145-foot (44 m) tall. It was the tallest building in El Paso until 1921.
