A Look at Little Billabong's Past
The Old Post Office
Long ago, a very important building in any community was the post office. It was where people sent and received letters, parcels, and even money. The Little Billabong Post Office first opened its doors on 1 October 1874. It served the community for many years, helping people stay connected. However, as times changed and new ways of communication appeared, the post office eventually closed in 1953.
