The Little Chetco River is a small river in Oregon, a state in the United States. It flows through Curry County. This river is a branch, or tributary, of the larger Chetco River.

Where the River Starts and Flows

The Little Chetco River begins in a wild area. This place is called the Kalmiopsis Wilderness. It is close to the border of Josephine County. The river starts west of a town named Cave Junction.

River's Journey Through the Forest

The river then flows mostly towards the northwest. It travels through the Rogue River – Siskiyou National Forest. This forest is part of the Klamath Mountains. The Little Chetco River eventually joins the main Chetco River.

As the Little Chetco River flows, several smaller streams join it. These are called its tributaries. They add more water to the river.

  • Hawk Creek joins the river from its left side.
  • Ditch Creek and Copper Creek join from the right side.
