Littleport is a small, former town in Clayton County, Iowa, United States. It is now known as an unincorporated community. This means it's a place with a shared identity but no official local government.

Littleport was greatly affected by a big flood from the Volga River on May 16, 1999. Much of the town was damaged, and many people moved away. In 2000, only 26 people lived there. This was a big change from 1960, when 119 people lived in Littleport. Even more people, over 200, lived there in 1916.

The town was first planned in 1857 and officially mapped out in 1860. It didn't become very important until a railroad arrived in 1874. Littleport officially became a city in 1907. Around that time, it had several businesses like three general stores, a bank, and a blacksmith shop. It also had a Catholic church (built in 1909, later taken down in 1990) and a German Lutheran church (which was damaged by the 1999 flood and moved). The town also had its own school district and a creamery. Later, it even had two taverns. Littleport was officially no longer a city in 2005.
