Lively is a small, quiet place in Benton County, Missouri, in the United States. It's known as an "unincorporated community," which means it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town. Instead, it's part of the larger county. Lively is located near Knobby Creek, about 15 miles (24 km) east of a bigger town called Warsaw.
A Glimpse into Lively's Past
A long time ago, in 1900, Lively had its own post office. This was a busy place where people could send and receive letters and packages. The post office stayed open for about 13 years, closing in 1913. The community was actually named "Lively" because it used to have a very active and busy business area. It was a place where things were happening!
