Lleucu Roberts (born September 27, 1964) is a talented Welsh author. She writes many different kinds of stories, including books for young people.
About Lleucu Roberts
Lleucu Roberts was born in Aberystwyth, Wales. She grew up in a place called Bow Street in Ceredigion. For her early education, she went to Rhydypennau Primary School. Later, she attended Penweddig Comprehensive School. She then continued her studies at Aberystwyth University.
Today, Lleucu lives in Rhostryfan, Gwynedd. She shares her home with her husband and their two daughters and sons.
Her Amazing Awards
Lleucu Roberts has won some very important awards for her writing. In 2011, she received the Tir na n-Og Award. This award is given to the best Welsh-language books for children and young people. She won it for her novel titled Stuff Guto S Thomas.
She also made history in 2014 at the National Eisteddfod of Wales in Carmarthenshire. That year, she won two of the biggest writing prizes! She received the Daniel Owen Memorial Prize and the Prose Medal. She was the first person ever to win both of these major prose awards in the same year.
