Lofall once had its own post office. It was opened in 1912. The post office served the community for many years. It finally closed down in 1934. The community and its post office were named after H. Lofall. He was the person who originally owned the land where the post office was built.

Lofall is found in the northern part of Kitsap County. Its exact location is 47°48′38″N 122°39′07″W. The community sits on the southeast side of Hood Canal. Across the water from Lofall is South Point, which is in Jefferson County.

Washington State Route 3 runs along the eastern border of Lofall. This highway can take you to other nearby places.
