Long Lake is a beautiful lake located in the town of Kearney in Central Ontario, Canada. It's part of a scenic area known as the Almaguin Highlands.
Where is Long Lake?
Long Lake is found within the town of Kearney. This town is interesting because it covers parts of two different areas, called "districts," in Ontario. These are the Nipissing District and the Parry Sound District. Even though some of Kearney is physically in Nipissing District, the town of Kearney is officially considered part of Parry Sound District.
How Big is Long Lake?
Long Lake is about 1 kilometre (or 0.6 miles) long. Its width changes quite a bit. At its widest point in the northern part, it's about 300 metres (or 984 feet) across. But as you go south, the lake becomes much narrower, shrinking to only about 50 metres (or 164 feet) wide.
Water Flow and Connections
The lake gets its water from one small stream that doesn't have a name. Water also leaves Long Lake through another unnamed stream at its southern end. This stream flows into another nearby body of water called Round Lake.

The closest town to Long Lake is Ravensworth. It is located about 10 kilometres (or 6 miles) to the west of the lake.
