Loon Lake is a beautiful lake in Stevens County, Washington. It covers about 1,100 acres (445 hectares). This lake is located about 30 miles (48 km) northwest of Spokane, Washington. It sits at an elevation of 2,385 feet (726 meters) above sea level.
The lake is about two miles (3.2 km) wide and one mile (1.6 km) long. Its deepest point is about 100 feet (30 meters). Loon Lake got its name because of the wild loons, which are a type of water bird, that used to live near its waters.
