Loren Gerard Woods (born June 21, 1978) is an American former professional basketball player. He played for six seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA).

Early Life and College Basketball
Loren Woods was born in St. Louis, Missouri. He went to high school at Cardinal Ritter College Prep.
Woods started his college basketball journey at Wake Forest University. Later, he transferred to the University of Arizona. He played for the Arizona Wildcats from 1999 to 2001.
Professional Basketball Career
Woods was chosen by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the second round of the 2001 NBA draft. This meant he was picked as the 46th player overall in the draft.
After playing for the Timberwolves, Woods joined the Miami Heat. He then played for the Toronto Raptors. During the 2004–05 season, he played in 45 games for the Raptors. He scored his career-best average of 3.9 points per game that season. In 2006, he signed with the Sacramento Kings, but he was released before the season started.
Playing Overseas
In 2007, Woods moved to Europe to play for Žalgiris Kaunas in Lithuania. Later that year, he joined Efes Pilsen in Turkey.
He returned to the NBA briefly in 2008, signing two short contracts with the Houston Rockets. His last NBA game was on April 19, 2008, in the playoffs against the Utah Jazz. He played for one minute and scored 2 points with 1 rebound. After this, he went back to play for Žalgiris Kaunas.
In 2009, Woods played for CAI Zaragoza in Spain. He then moved to the Middle East, playing for Al Riyadi Beirut in Lebanon starting in 2010. He played for them again from 2012 to 2014. During his time with Al Riyadi Beirut, he averaged 14.3 points and 14.3 rebounds per game. He continued his career in the Middle East until 2018.
National Team Experience
In July 2013, Loren Woods became a citizen of Lebanon. This allowed him to join the Lebanese national basketball team.
He was called to play for Lebanon again in 2015. He helped the team in the 2015 FIBA Asia Championship.
Acting Role
Loren Woods also has an acting credit! He appeared in the 2022 holiday musical movie Spirited. In the movie, he played the role of The Ghost of Christmas Yet To Come.
