The Vermont Historical Society keeps many of her writings. This includes her research notes and drafts of her books. Louise Andrews Kent was a trustee for the society in the 1950s.

Louise Andrews Kent married Ira Rich Kent (1876–1945) in 1912. They had three children together. The family lived in both Brookline, Massachusetts, and Calais, Vermont. After her husband passed away, Louise Andrews Kent moved to Calais permanently in 1959.

Her father, Walter Edward Andrews, came to the United States after the Civil War. Her mother, Mary Sophronia Edgerly, grew up in New England. She went to private schools.
