About Luara Hayrapetyan
Early Life and Training
Luara Hayrapetyan was born in Astrakhan, Russia. She started singing when she was only four years old. She studied at a children's music studio called "Vesnushki." This studio was part of the Astrakhangasprom Cultural Centre. Luara was a main singer there.
Besides singing, Luara also enjoyed ballroom dancing. She took many vocal classes to improve her voice. Because she is also an Armenian citizen, Luara lived in Kapan, Armenia, for some time. There, she continued her vocal training. She also learned to play the saxophone and took more dance classes. Luara currently lives in Los Angeles, USA.
Music Career Highlights
Luara first became known when she joined the Russian national selection for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2006. She was only nine years old then. She came in second place with her song "Krasnaya Shapochka," which means "Little Red Riding Hood."
In 2008, Luara competed in the Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk Children's Contest. She represented Russia under the name "Lara." She won the Grand Prix Award and the "Lira" Diploma, which are big honors.
