About Luara
Luara Hayrapetyan was born in Astrakhan, Russia. She started singing when she was only four years old. She joined a children's music studio called "Vesnushki." There, she was a main singer and also took part in other activities.
Luara loved ballroom dancing and singing lessons. She also lived in Kapan, Armenia, where she continued her vocal, saxophone, and dance classes. Today, Luara lives in Los Angeles, USA.
Luara's Singing Journey
Early Contests
Luara first tried to join the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2006 for Russia. She was just 9 years old then. Her song was "Krasnaya Shapochka" (which means "Little Red Riding Hood"). She did very well, coming in second place!
In 2008, Luara competed in the Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk Children's Contest. She represented Russia under the name "Lara." She won the top award, called the Grand Prix, and also received the "Lira" Diploma.
Junior Eurovision Success
Luara is most famous for representing Armenia in the 2009 Junior Eurovision Song Contest. This big event took place in Kyiv, Ukraine. She performed her song "Barcelona."
Luara tied for second place with Ekaterina Ryabova from Russia. This was a huge achievement for her! Before this, she had tried to qualify for Junior Eurovision twice. In 2006, she placed second in Russia's national final. In 2008, she came third in Armenia's national final with her song "Im Ergy."

Luara has won many awards throughout her singing career:
- 2004 – She won the First Prize at the "Malen'kie Zvezdochki" International Contest.
- 2005 – She received the First Prize at the "Childhood Without Borders" International Festival.
- 2006 – She placed second in the Russian National Final for Junior Eurovision.
- 2007 – She won the Grand Prix at the "Volzhskie Sozvezdiya" All-Russian Contest. She also won the First Prize at the "Voices of the 21st Century" All-Russian Contest.
- 2008 – She won the Grand Prix at the Junior Edition of "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" and the "Lira" Special Prize. She also placed third in Armenia's National Final for Junior Eurovision.
