Early Life and Career Beginnings
Luciana Salazar started her career very young. At just four years old, she appeared in her first TV commercial. As a teenager, she began working as a model in Buenos Aires in 1996. During this time, she also took classes to learn dancing and singing.
Becoming a TV Star
Luciana became widely known in 2000. She was featured on the covers of popular magazines like Noticias de la semana and Vogue en español. Her big break came when she performed on the TV show Poné a Francella.
In October 2002, she was on the cover of the men's magazine Esquire in the United States. The next year, in 2003, she did many interviews for the Argentine TV channel America TV. She also made a notable appearance at the MTV Video Music Awards Latin America, which helped her become even more famous. In 2004, she was part of a fun hidden camera sketch on the popular Argentine TV show VideoMatch (later called ShowMatch).
Luciana also acted in several TV series. These included Costumbres argentinas, de las buenas y de las malas (2003) and Los Roldán (2004). She also appeared in the film Bañeros III, Todopoderosos. In 2004, she was invited to appear on Chilean television.
During the 2006 FIFA World Cup, Luciana was chosen to represent the Argentine national football team. Many people called her the "Godmother" of the team. In December 2006, she hosted a part of the Telethon of Chile, a big charity event.
Fashion and Other Projects
In February 2005, Luciana was voted Queen of the Viña del Mar International Song Festival in Chile. This made her very popular in that country. She took part in many fashion shows. In the same year, she was the main star of Abtao Fashion 2005 in Peru. She modeled the latest designs alongside 70 other Peruvian models.
Luciana has also explored a career in music. She has recorded an album as a singer. She also acted in the movies Brigada Explosiva and Isidorito. In 2008, she was a performer in the show "Cristina en el país de las maravillas".
In 2009, she signed a contract with Warner Brothers. She released four singles: Fascinate!, ¿Ahora que hago?, Sucios Pensamientos, and Anímate a Vivir. In 2011, she acted in the TV show Un año para recordar. She also sang in the band Main Out. Later that year, she formed the Main Out music project with Cuban artists Seinel & Whaire. They performed for the first time on the Susana Giménez program.
In 2012, she appeared in the final episodes of the TV show Graduados. In 2015, Luciana competed in the dance program Bailando por un sueño. This show was hosted by Marcelo Tinelli. She finished in twelfth place after six months of competition.
In 2017, Luciana announced that she would become a mother for the first time. In August 2018, she made a special appearance in the TV show Cien días para enamorarse. She played a lawyer named Silvia Cafarole. She also became an entertainer on the show Chismoses on Net TV.
