Luciano De Cecco, born on June 2, 1988, is a famous volleyball player from Argentina. He plays as a setter for the Modena Volley team and is a key part of the Argentine national team. A setter is like the quarterback of a volleyball team. They decide where the ball goes to help their teammates score points. Luciano helped his country win a bronze medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics.

Club Teams and Successes
Luciano De Cecco has played for many different volleyball clubs. In May 2014, he joined Sir Safety Perugia and stayed there for six years. Later, for the 2020–21 season, he moved to Cucine Lube Civitanova.
He has won many important titles with his clubs:
- In 2007, he won the Argentine Cup and the Argentine Championship with Bolívar Voley.
- In 2010, his team, Bolívar Voley, won the CSV South American Club Championship.
- In 2013, he won the CEV Challenge Cup with Copra Elior Piacenza.
- He also won several Italian Cups and SuperCups with Sir Safety Perugia and Cucine Lube Civitanova.
- In the 2017–18 season, he helped Sir Safety Perugia win the Italian Championship.
- In 2021, he won a silver medal at the FIVB Volleyball Men's Club World Championship with Cucine Lube Civitanova.
National Team Achievements
Luciano joined the Argentine national team in 2006. He started playing in the 2006 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship.
His team won silver medals at the South American Men's Volleyball Championship four times: in 2007, 2009, 2011, and 2013. In 2009 and 2011, he was named the Best Setter of the South American Championship. He also earned the title of Best Setter at the 2011 FIVB Volleyball World League and the 2011 FIVB Men's World Cup.
In 2015, Luciano helped Argentina win the gold medal at the Volleyball at the 2015 Pan American Games.
One of his biggest achievements was winning the bronze medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. This was a huge moment for Argentine volleyball.
In 2023, Luciano led his team to another gold medal at the 2023 Men's South American Volleyball Championship in Brazil.
On July 3, 2024, Luciano was chosen to be a flag bearer for Argentina at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. He shared this honor with field hockey player Rocío Sánchez Moccia.
