About Lucie Bílá's Life
Lucie Bílá, whose real name is Hana Zaňáková, was born in Otvovice, a town in what was then Czechoslovakia. Her mother was Czech and her father was Slovak. Before she became a singer, she actually trained to be a seamstress.
Lucie Bílá started her music journey in the 1980s. She was part of rock bands like Rock-Automat and Arakain. A music producer named Petr Hannig discovered her in 1980. He gave her the stage name Lucie Bílá, which means "Lucy White." This new name helped avoid confusion with another singer, Hana Zagorová.
For more than 30 years, Lucie Bílá has been incredibly successful. She has starred in many popular musicals in her country. She has also released many hit solo albums.
