Lucy Quist, born around 1974, is a talented business and technology leader. She is from both Ghana and Britain. Currently, she works as a managing director for Morgan Stanley, a big financial company.

Early Life and Learning

Lucy Quist was born in London, England. Her parents, Peter and Mary Afriyie, were from Ghana. She spent her childhood growing up in both Europe and Africa.

School Days

Lucy went to Wesley Girls' High School in Cape Coast, Ghana. After that, she attended sixth-form college at the Presbyterian Boys' Senior High School.

University Education

She later studied at the University of East London. She earned a top degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Lucy also has an MBA (Master of Business Administration) from INSEAD in France.

Her Amazing Career

Lucy Quist has had a very interesting career path. She started as an engineer and then moved into business leadership.

Early Jobs

Her first job was as an Electrical and Electronic Engineer at the Ford Motor Company. She became a certified Chartered Engineer. Later, she worked at the The Royal Bank of Scotland as a change manager.

Telecommunications Work

In 2008, Lucy joined the telecommunications industry. She worked at Millicom International Cellular, focusing on business growth and sales. She then became the Head of Strategy and Planning for Vodafone in Ghana. She also managed their wholesale and business services.

Leading Airtel Ghana

Lucy became the CEO of Airtel Ghana in 2014. She led the company for three and a half years. During her time, she strongly supported young people getting involved in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). This was part of Airtel Ghana's efforts to help the community.

Other Important Roles

After Airtel, Lucy founded her own company, Quist Blue Diamond. She also helped start FreshPay, a payment platform in the Democratic Republic of Congo. She co-founded the Executive Women Network as well.

Football Leadership

In September 2018, FIFA chose Lucy to be the Vice President of their Normalization Committee. This committee worked to reorganize football in Ghana.

Current Role and Speaking Engagements

Today, Lucy Quist is a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley in their London office. She is also a popular public speaker. She has spoken at many big events, including the Mobile World Congress and TEDxEuston. She shares her knowledge and experiences with others.
