Ludovic Butelle started his football journey in his hometown of Reims, France. He joined the youth academy of Metz and later became a professional player for their senior team.
Early Career and First Steps
Butelle began his professional career with Metz in the 2001–02 season. He played in six matches during his first year in Ligue 1, which is France's top football league. Over time, he became a regular player for Metz, showing his skills as a goalkeeper.
Playing in Spain
In July 2004, Ludovic Butelle moved to Spain to play for Valencia, a well-known club. He was seen as a potential future star for the team. During his time in Spain, he also played on loan for other clubs like Hércules and Valladolid. These loan spells gave him more experience and playing time.
Back to France and Success
