Ludovic Jean-Luc Butelle (born on April 3, 1983) is a French professional footballer. He plays as a goalkeeper for the Reims club in France.

Ludovic Butelle's Football Journey
Ludovic Butelle was born in Reims, France. He started his football career at Metz in 2001. He quickly became a regular player for the team.
Playing in Spain
In July 2004, Ludovic moved to Spain to play for Valencia. He was seen as a possible future star for the club. During his time there, he also played on loan for Hércules for six months in 2005. From 2005 to 2007, he became the backup goalkeeper for Valencia. In 2006, he played his first game in La Liga, which is Spain's top football league.
In the 2007–08 season, Ludovic was loaned to another Spanish team, Valladolid. He started as the main goalkeeper but later shared his spot with other players.
Returning to France
Ludovic returned to France in 2008, joining Lille on loan. After a good season, his move to Lille became permanent.
In the years that followed, Ludovic played in France's second division, Ligue 2. He played for teams like Nîmes, Arles-Avignon, and Angers. While playing for Arles-Avignon, he was named the "Goalkeeper of the Year" in Ligue 2 for three years in a row!
Success with Angers and Club Brugge
Ludovic signed a three-year contract with Angers. In 2015, Angers was promoted to Ligue 1, the top French league, after 21 years! Ludovic had a great start in Ligue 1 with Angers.
In early 2016, he moved to Belgium to play for Club Brugge. After just half a year, Ludovic helped Club Brugge win their first championship since 2005. He was also named the "Goalkeeper of the Year" in Belgium in 2016.
After two years with Club Brugge, Ludovic Butelle returned to Angers in January 2018. He continued to play for Angers until 2021. After that, he played for Red Star until 2023. Currently, he plays for Reims.
