Luis Liberman Ginsburg was born on August 1, 1946. He is a businessman from Costa Rica. From 2010 to 2014, he served as the Second Vice President of his country. He was chosen for this important role in February 2010. He ran alongside President Laura Chinchilla and First Vice President Alfio Piva.
Luis Liberman's family moved to Costa Rica from Poland before World War II. His grandfather was the first Mohel in Costa Rica's small Jewish community.

Luis Liberman was chosen to be a vice president because he was very good at understanding money and business. He helped President Laura Chinchilla with economic matters.
He also spoke about Costa Rica's relationships with other countries. He said that Costa Rica would focus more on countries in Latin America. He also mentioned keeping good relationships with countries like Israel and Egypt. In 2012, he briefly worked as the acting finance minister. This means he helped manage the country's money for a short time.
