Luis Miguel Ramis Monfort (born on July 25, 1970) is a Spanish football expert. He used to be a professional footballer. He mostly played as a centre-back, which is a defender. Today, he is a manager for the Segunda División club Burgos.
During his playing career, he played 165 matches in La Liga, which is Spain's top football league. He scored eight goals in nine seasons. He played for important teams like Deportivo, Real Madrid, and Tenerife.

Playing Career Highlights
Luis Miguel Ramis was born in Tarragona, a city in Catalonia, Spain. He started his football journey with his hometown club, Gimnàstic de Tarragona. When he was in his 20s, he joined Real Madrid's reserve team, called Real Madrid Castilla.
In the 1992–93 season, he played seven matches for Real Madrid's main team in La Liga. The next season, he officially became a full member of the main squad.
In 1994, Ramis played in the Copa Iberoamericana final. His team, Real Madrid, won this cup! Soon after, he moved to CD Tenerife. He played well for two seasons there. Then, he joined Sevilla FC in the same league. He played his best season there, with 39 matches. However, his team was relegated that year.
Ramis then joined Deportivo de La Coruña in 1997. He was a backup player at first. After a good first year, he got a serious knee injury. This injury affected his career a lot. In his last years as a player, he played fewer games. His teams were often relegated to lower divisions.
Coaching Journey
Ramis stopped playing football in 2006. He had spent three years playing in the Tercera División, a lower league. He began his coaching career at Real Madrid, helping to train their young players.
On January 5, 2016, Ramis became the head coach of Real Madrid Castilla. This happened after Zinedine Zidane became the coach of the main Real Madrid team. Ramis tried to help his team get promoted, but they didn't succeed in the playoffs. So, he left the club.
Ramis then became the manager of UD Almería in March 2017. This team played in the Segunda División, the second-highest league in Spain. He left Almería in November after a tough period without many wins.
In June 2018, Ramis signed on as manager for Albacete Balompié, another team in the second division. In his first season, he led them to fourth place. They almost made it to the top league but lost in the playoff semi-finals.
In February 2020, Ramis was dismissed from Albacete. The team was struggling at the time. Later that year, in November, he returned to coach CD Tenerife in the second division.
Ramis led Tenerife to the playoffs in 2022. They beat their rivals UD Las Palmas but lost in the final to Girona FC. In April 2023, he announced he would leave Tenerife at the end of the season.
On November 6, 2023, Ramis became the manager of RCD Espanyol, another second-division team. He was dismissed in March 2024. Seven months later, he took over as manager of Burgos CF in the same league.
