Luke George Evans (born on April 15, 1979) is a talented Welsh actor and singer. He started his career performing in plays and musicals in London's famous West End. Some of his early shows included Rent, Miss Saigon, and Piaf.
Luke Evans became well-known in movies after his role in the 2010 film Clash of the Titans. After that, he appeared in many action and thriller movies like Immortals (2011), The Raven (2012), and The Three Musketeers (2011). In 2013, he played the villain Owen Shaw in Fast & Furious 6. He also played Bard the Bowman in Peter Jackson's three Hobbit movies.
Later, Luke Evans took on the role of Dracula in the 2014 movie Dracula Untold. He also played Gaston in Disney's live-action Beauty and the Beast (2017). He was also in the movie Professor Marston and the Wonder Women (2017) and played Wade McClusky in Midway. In 2022, he was the Coachman in Disney's live-action Pinocchio. Besides acting, Luke Evans released his first music album, At Last, in 2019. He has also starred in TV shows like The Pembrokeshire Murders (2020) and Nine Perfect Strangers (2021).

Early Life and Education
Luke George Evans was born on April 15, 1979, in Pontypool, Wales. He grew up in a small village called Aberbargoed. He is the only child of Yvonne and David Evans.
When he was 17, Luke moved to Cardiff to study singing with a coach named Louise Ryan. In 1997, he earned a special scholarship to attend the London Studio Centre. He finished his studies there in 2000.
Luke Evans' Acting Career

From 2000 to 2008, Luke Evans performed in many plays and musicals in London's West End. These included shows like La Cava, Taboo, Rent, Miss Saigon, and Avenue Q. He also performed in smaller shows in London and at the Edinburgh Festival.
In 2008, he got an important stage role as Vincent in the play Small Change. This performance caught the attention of people who cast actors for films. He was even nominated for an award called the Evening Standard Award for Outstanding Newcomer.
First Film Roles
Luke Evans had his first movie audition when he was 30 years old. In 2009, he got his first film role as the Greek god Apollo in the 2010 movie Clash of the Titans. In the same year, he appeared in Robin Hood and played Andy in Tamara Drewe.
In 2011, he played DI Craig Stokes in the film Blitz, alongside Jason Statham. He also filmed an independent movie called Flutter.
Becoming a Movie Star
Luke Evans played the Musketeer Aramis in The Three Musketeers (released in 2011). He also had a main role as Zeus, the King of the Gods, in the Greek epic Immortals (2011). Towards the end of 2010, he joined the cast of The Raven, playing Detective Emmett Fields. This film was about a detective investigating murders inspired by the writer Edgar Allan Poe.
In 2011, he filmed No One Lives, a horror movie. He also began filming his role as Bard the Bowman in Peter Jackson's three-part movie series based on J. R. R. Tolkien's The Hobbit.
In 2013, Luke Evans played the main bad guy, Owen Shaw, in Fast & Furious 6. In 2014, he played Dracula in the movie Dracula Untold. He also joined the cast of the film High-Rise in June 2014. In 2015, GQ magazine named him one of the 50 best-dressed British men.
Recent Roles and Music
In 2016, Luke Evans appeared in the thriller movie The Girl on the Train. In 2017, he played the villainous Gaston in Disney's live-action version of Beauty and the Beast. He was also set to play Gaston again in a TV series for Disney+.
He also played William Moulton Marston, the person who created Wonder Woman, in the film Professor Marston and the Wonder Women. In 2018, Evans starred in the TV show The Alienist. The next year, he released his first music album, At Last, on November 22, 2019.
On November 8, 2019, Luke Evans starred in the war movie Midway. In 2021, he played Lars Lee in the Hulu TV series Nine Perfect Strangers. He also played The Coachman in Robert Zemeckis' live-action movie of Disney's Pinocchio, alongside Tom Hanks.
Luke Evans was honored with the Man of the Year award at the ninth annual Virgin Atlantic Attitude Awards.
