Nearby, about two miles to the northwest, was the town of Zanoni, which is on Missouri Route 181. The place where Pine Creek flows into Bryant Creek was about one and a quarter miles south of Luna, close to the northern part of Norfork Lake.
The History of Luna
Luna had its own post office, which opened in 1894. This post office helped people send and receive mail for many years. However, it closed down in 1934. The town itself was named after a local family who lived in the area, the Luna family. Over time, people moved away, and Luna became the ghost town it is today.
