Luther is a small, quiet place in the state of Indiana, in the United States. It's known as an unincorporated community. This means it's a group of homes and businesses that isn't officially a city or town with its own local government. Instead, it's managed by the larger Whitley and Huntington counties.
Luther is located on Indiana State Road 5. This road connects it to bigger places like Huntington and South Whitley.
History of Luther
Luther got its name from a person named Myron Luther Pray. He owned a store in the area a long time ago.
Early Services
In 1894, a post office was opened in Luther. This was an important service for people living there. It allowed them to send and receive mail. However, the post office didn't stay open for very long. It closed down in 1905.
