Luxor Obelisk facts for kids
The Luxor Obelisk is an Egyptian obelisk offered to Napoleon Bonaparte by Muhammad Ali Pasha. It was built in 1830. It is currently installed in the center of the famous Place de la Concorde in Paris. It is sometimes also named Concorde Obelisk. It is 23 meters tall and weighs of 234 metric tons. It is built in Syenite.
