Lynetta Kizer (born April 4, 1990) is an American-Bosnian professional basketball player. She last played for Geelong United in Australia. Lynetta also played college basketball for the University of Maryland.

Early Life and High School Basketball
Lynetta Kizer grew up in Woodbridge, Virginia. She has an older brother and a younger sister.
She went to Potomac Senior High School. There, she was a starting center for all four years. She was also a team captain three times. By her senior year in 2008, Lynetta was considered one of the best young basketball players in the country. HoopGurlz.com rated her as the fifth best overall prospect. She was also the top center in her class.
College Basketball Career
Lynetta played college basketball for four years. She played for the Maryland Terrapins women's basketball team. This was from 2008 to 2012.
She quickly made a name for herself. In her first year (2008–09), she was named ACC Freshman of the Year. She also made the ACC All-Freshman Team. Later, she earned other honors. These included third-team All-ACC in 2010 and second-team All-ACC in 2011. In 2012, she was named ACC Sixth Player of the Year. Lynetta studied family science while at Maryland.
Professional Basketball Journey
Lynetta Kizer has had a long career playing basketball. She has played in the WNBA and for many teams overseas.
Playing in the WNBA
In 2012, Lynetta was picked in the WNBA draft. The Tulsa Shock chose her as the 29th overall pick. She played a few games for the Shock. Then, she joined the Phoenix Mercury for the rest of the 2012 season. She played 15 games with them. She returned to the Mercury for the 2013 season.
Lynetta then joined the Indiana Fever in 2014. She played with the Fever through the 2015 and 2016 seasons. In 2015, she helped the Fever reach the WNBA Finals. In 2016, she had her best season with the Fever. She scored 9.6 points per game.
In 2017, Lynetta moved to the Connecticut Sun. She played 20 games for them. She averaged 6.0 points and 2.9 rebounds. In 2018, she signed with the Minnesota Lynx. She played 12 games before leaving the team.
Playing Overseas
Lynetta has played for many teams around the world.
- Korea: In 2012–13, she played for KB Stars in Korea.
- Slovakia: In 2014, she joined Good Angels Košice in Slovakia. She helped them win the championship.
- Turkey: She played for Hatay Bsb in Turkey in 2014–15. She then played for Galatasaray in Turkey in 2015–16. In 2018, she briefly played for Fenerbahçe.
- Greece: Lynetta played for Olympiacos Pireus in Greece in 2016–17. She also played for Panathinaikos in Greece in 2021–22.
- China: For the 2017–18 season, she joined Shandong Six Stars in China. She also played one game for them in 2018–19.
- Poland: In November 2018, she joined CCC Polkowice in Poland.
- Italy: In 2020, Lynetta played a few games for Della Fiore Broni in Italy.
- Mexico: In 2023, she played for Rojas in Mexico. She averaged 11.4 points per game.
- Spain: In January 2024, she joined CB Islas Canarias in Spain.
- Australia: In September 2024, Lynetta signed with Geelong United in Australia. She played for them until November 2024.
Playing for Her Country
Lynetta Kizer has also played for national basketball teams.
USA National Team
She was part of the USA under-18 team. This team won a gold medal in 2008. This was at the FIBA Americas Championship in Argentina. She helped the team win all five of their games.
Lynetta also played for Team USA at the 2011 World University Games. This event was in China. Her team won all six games and earned the gold medal.
Bosnia and Herzegovina National Team
In 2015, Lynetta became a member of the Bosnia and Herzegovina women's national basketball team. She played for Bosnia in the qualifying games for the 2015 and 2017 FIBA EuroBasket tournaments.
