Lynndyl's Railroad Story
Lynndyl began as a railroad town in 1907. This means it grew because of the trains and tracks that passed through it. Farming in the area started a few years later, around 1912.
Major train lines have always been important to Lynndyl. For many years, it was a key spot where the Los Angeles and Salt Lake Railroad split. One part of the track went towards Provo, and the other went to Salt Lake City. Today, Lynndyl is still a significant junction for train lines.
