Mícheál Ó Siochfhradha (1900–1986) was an Irish writer, teacher, and storyteller. He came from County Kerry, Ireland. His brother, Pádraig Ó Siochfhradha, also known as An Seabhac, was also a famous writer. Both brothers loved the Irish language and shared many stories.

Mícheál Ó Siochfhradha wrote several funny short stories. These stories were often set in the Gaeltacht, which are areas in Ireland where Irish is the main language spoken. One of his most famous stories is An Corp (meaning 'The Body'). This story is so important that students in Ireland study it as part of their Irish language course for the Junior Certificate exam.

Mícheál first trained to be a teacher. Later, he became an inspector, which meant he visited schools to check on teaching quality. He eventually became the Chief Inspector, a very important role, before he retired in 1965. He also helped start a theatre group called An Comhar Drámaíochta. On top of all this, he worked on two Irish dictionaries, helping people learn and understand the language better.
