Machiques is a city in Zulia State, Venezuela. It is located in the northwest part of the country. The city is very close to the border with Colombia.
The main way people earn a living in Machiques is through cattle raising. This means they raise cows and other animals for food and products.
Getting Around Machiques
Machiques might get a new way for people to travel soon. There are plans for the city to have a railway station. This station would be part of Venezuela's new national railway system.
