Mack is a special kind of community in Ohio, United States. It's called a census-designated place (CDP). This means it's an area that looks like a town but isn't officially a city or village. Mack is located in Hamilton County.
In 2020, about 11,088 people lived in Mack. Before 2020, Mack was actually split into two smaller areas: Mack North and Mack South. Now, they are counted as one larger community.
History of Mack
In the 1800s, Mack was known by a different name: Dry Ridge. Later, the community was renamed after a local politician named Andrew Mack. He was an important person in the area.
Where is Mack Located?
Mack is about 10 miles (16 kilometers) northwest of downtown Cincinnati. The main road that goes through Mack is Ohio State Route 264, also called Bridgetown Road. This road connects Mack to other nearby places.
- To the east, you'll find Bridgetown.
- To the southeast is Covedale.
- Delhi Township is to the south.
- To the southwest, there's Addyston.
- And to the west, you'll find North Bend and Miami Heights.
Mack covers an area of about 8.91 square miles (23.07 square kilometers). All of this area is land, with no large bodies of water.

Schools and Library
The Oak Hills School District runs the public schools in Mack. Two elementary schools, Springmyer Elementary School and John F. Dulles Elementary School, are located right in Mack.
The Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County has a branch in Mack called the Green Township Branch. This library opened in 1990. It has a unique design with a central copper dome and two smaller domes. These domes were made to look like the barns from horse farms that used to be common in the Green Township area.
